As decided, we went to the bank to start the process of opening the account for our “Tirthan Valley Mahila Samuh”. We came to know that we are supposed to maintain a “Proceedings Book” and also write a letter to the bank manager mentioning the account details. This was supposed to be done by our Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer together.
So, we had to go to Tindar again. I always love trekking up to the village and these days my stamina has also improved, so I don’t get tired as much. I and Arka actually reached the village before the others. That was fun. The Presidency kids had called the women the day before and asked them to gather at our meeting place at 12. When we reached there, we saw no one and we were a little disappointed but then we divided ourselves into 3 groups and went door to door to call the members for the meeting. People had come down but since we were late, they had left. It was good to know that. After all of them had arrived, we filled in the “Proceedings Book” and also wrote a letter for the account.
We were surprised by the enthusiasm of the women. After taking signatures from the women, we decided to head back. We asked our Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer to come down tomorrow so that we can complete the bank work.
As we were walking back, our Chairman Kavita thakur came running to call us for tea. This is one thing I like about this place. They are so welcoming and you get the best tea in the Himalayas. Trust me!
So, we went there for tea. While we were waiting and admiring her house, Meera didi (our treasurer) decided to dress Shuchi as “Pahadi” women. They got a “Pattu” for her and started wrapping her in that. It was a beautiful sight. The women were so happy! Shuchi also enjoyed it a lot. She looked so pretty.
After having an amazing conversation over tea, we left for Gushaini. On our way back, we decided to stop by a small spring to have lunch.
That place again surprised us, there was a group of butterflies chilling there and it looked so beautiful. I had never seen so many butterflies so closely! We sat there, had our lunch and then headed back.
While coming down, we decided to stop by the river and for the last time admire our Tindar resting place that we discovered with Vigi and Nikhil. It reminded us of that day. We hope they were here.
Anyways, tomorrow we leave this amazing place and before that we hope we can finish the bank work.
