Reaching Gushaini

From the sweltering Delhi summers, we escaped to a cool Aut. A local bus took us to Banjaar where we bade Goodbye to our Vodafone network and said “Hello” to sweaters. Another local bus later, we were in the lap of the Tirthan Valley in a heavenly village called Gushaini.

Awestruck, while appreciating the beauty around, we spotted the Himalayan Eco Tourism (HET) office. The first thing that appealed to us was the location. It was right next to the Tirthan River!

We were welcomed by our two fellow interns Illary and Vincent in the office.

They showed us our rooms which doubled our happiness. The windows of our huge wooden room opened to the river. The constant sound of the flowing water was music to our ears.

After a little bit of rest, we decided to explore the valley.

Thus, ended our very first day in Gushaini.

Tomorrow begins our work.
